We are proud to announce that Adventure Travel Networking (ATN) is now an ABTOT Associate Member, meaning we are working even closer with many key adventure tour operators and travel companies across the UK.
This is a significant achievement for ATN and we are delighted to broaden our association membership and to have the opportunity to introduce our events to new audiences.
ATN is also a business affiliate of AITO – the Specialist Travel Association, a group of unique and specialist travel companies, who collectively provide an unrivalled range of holidays to every corner of the globe.
“ABTOT Associates are specifically chosen for their expertise which can help ABTOT Members run successful businesses” said Julie Jones, Business Development Director for ABTOT.
“Adventure and experiential travel is an important travel sector for ABTOT and ABTOT Members as 49% of Membership provide adventure activity. It seemed a good fit for Adventure Travel Networking to join our associate scheme, with all the experience Pru has to offer” Jones added.
So, what business service does ABTOT provide and how do they help the travel trade?
ABTOT Limited is an Approved Body, appointed by the UK Government Department BEIS. ABTOT operates a regulated financial protection bonding scheme for Travel Organisers who need to comply with the 2018 Package Travel Regulations (PTRs).
ABTOT membership is the home for the established travel company who is looking for travel bonds, the niche tour operator looking to speak to someone who understands their business and the start-up travel organiser who needs help to understand how to set up their travel company and be compliant with the regulations.
Jones adds “More and more Travel Organisers are recognising the benefits of using ABTOT as an approved body as we understand travel organisers’ business models and are skilled at providing the most appropriate bonding solution. This September alone saw seven established Travel Organisers move their Membership to ABTOT.”
ABTOT has over 250 Members in Membership and encompasses businesses of all sizes and specialities: annual turnover per ABTOT Member varies from less than £100k a year to over £200m. ABTOT Travel Bonding is also accepted as compliance to the PTRs for the following Trade Membership Associations: ABTA, ABTOI, AITO, ATTA® and STF.
Since launching in 2019, ATN has exceeded its goals, delivering two successful face to
face events and one online event during the height of the imposed lockdowns. With the ATN23 Conference & Marketplace networking event in the thick of planning, it felt that now was the right time for ATN to work closer with ABTOT and ABTOT Members.
